-- The German Shepherd Dog Club of Oklahoma is dedicated to promoting responsible dog ownership through education and training.

OBEDIENCE

We offer obedience training classes in basic and  intermediate obedience leading to an AKC Canine Good Citizenship test and to the Companion Dog title.  Beginning agility and rally are offered based on demand.  All classes are for all breed of dogs.  We teach you how to teach your dog and you continue in the home practicing what you have learned.  Courses last for 6 weeks at a cost of $45.   Basic obedience classes begin at 6:30 PM and Advanced begins at 7:30 PM. 

Our new location for training classes is finally up and running.  The Animal Resource Center Inc. of Oklahoma City is located at 7949 /S. I-35 Service Road.  New classes began on January 18, 2011 in the new site.  For a schedule of upcoming classes, go to the Training Schedule link on the menu.

CONFORMATION

If you are interested in showing your dog in breed competition, we also offer conformation training.  You will practice stacking, moving and examination by a judge under show-like conditions.   There are separate rings for large and small dog.  The cost is $8.00 per night for one dog, $10 for multiple dogs with the same handler.   Conformation classes begin at 7:00 PM.

We also work with children aspiring to become Junior Handlers.
